Special Projects

Indonesia

From Pro Gravel Training to National Rally Development

The Indonesia Project started with a clear objective: build performance from solid technical foundations.

The first phase was conducted in Spain, at our gravel base, through a 4WD Pro Gravel Rally Course. This format provides an all-inclusive environment where drivers can focus entirely on performance, eliminating logistical complexity while accessing professional-grade cars, structured stages, and high-level coaching.

This approach allowed the client to work in optimal conditions, accelerating the learning curve and establishing the core driving techniques required for gravel rallying.

Pro Gravel Course in our Spain Base

The project began at our Spanish gravel base, where the driver entered a structured Pro Gravel Rally Course designed to build performance from the ground up. This environment allowed us to work with precision, removing external variables and focusing entirely on driving technique, vehicle understanding, and stage approach.

Operating on dedicated gravel stages, the training followed a progressive methodology. Each run was used to refine car control on loose surfaces, develop a deeper sensitivity to weight transfer, and build consistency in braking phases and corner entry. Particular attention was given to how the driver generated traction and managed grip evolution, key elements in high-speed gravel rallying.

At the same time, we worked on pace note interpretation and rhythm construction, aligning driving inputs with stage reading to create a more efficient and repeatable performance. The controlled environment of the base made it possible to repeat sections, analyze each detail, and apply corrections immediately, accelerating the learning process.

This phase created a solid technical foundation, ensuring that when the program moved to Indonesia, the driver was not just executing movements, but fully understanding the dynamics behind them.

Transition to Indonesia: Real Environment Application

Following the success of the Spanish phase, the program moved to Indonesia for multiple custom coaching sessions..

Here, the focus shifted from learning to application. We transferred the techniques developed in Spain directly onto the client’s rally car, working in real operating conditions with the local team.

The structure mirrored the Kenya Project, delivering a full 360-degree operation:

  • On-site coaching for driver and co-driver
  • Setup development with the race car
  • Integration with the technical team
  • Recce work and stage analysis
  • Data review and onboard video analysis

As the project continued to grow, we returned to Indonesia for a new series of on site coaching activities, working with additional drivers and expanding our collaboration with local teams. This second phase confirmed that the initiative had evolved beyond the development of a single competitor into a broader technical programme. By bringing our methodology directly into the national rally environment, we were able to support not only individual performance but also the professional growth of the teams surrounding the drivers. The continuous exchange of experience, engineering approach and stage methodology has contributed to raising the overall technical standard of Indonesian rallying, creating a stronger foundation for the next generation of competitors.

This phase ensured that the driver was not only fast in a training environment, but fully effective within the dynamics of competition.

From Individual Project to National Impact

What began as a single driver development program quickly evolved into something much bigger.

The performance gains achieved in Indonesia created immediate visibility within the national championship. Results were measurable, and the impact was clear.

This led to a natural expansion:

  • Multiple drivers from the Indonesian Championship joined our programs
  • The top national drivers attended training at our facilities
  • A consistent technical standard began to emerge across competitors

The project transitioned from individual coaching to the development of an entire generation of rally drivers.

Building the Future of Rally in Indonesia

Today, the Indonesia Project is an ongoing initiative.

We continue to work with drivers at different levels, contributing to the growth and professionalization of rallying across the country. The focus is not only on speed, but on structure, methodology, and long-term development.

This project demonstrates how a structured approach, combining international training with local application, can elevate an entire motorsport ecosystem.

From a single Pro Gravel course to a national benchmark, Indonesia has become a reference case for scalable rally driver development.
