At Vittorio Caneva Rally School, every project begins with one question: how can we give drivers and co-drivers the tools they need to perform at their absolute best?
The tripmeter project was born from that exact philosophy — merging high-end precision with accessible solutions for every level of competitor.
Thanks to our collaboration with key technical partners, we set out to develop, produce, and supply not only the most accurate and reliable tripmeters on the market, but also more budget-friendly models. Because rallying is about skill and commitment, not just budget size. Whether you’re a professional fighting for tenths in the WRC or a club-level crew fine-tuning your pacenotes, the right information at the right moment changes everything.
A living project that listen to crew feedbacks
But we didn’t stop at “good enough.” These tripmeters are a living product — in constant evolution. Every unit is shaped by an ongoing cycle of feedback from rally stages around the world, updates in hardware and software, and our own in-house R&D. Our testing philosophy mirrors the rallying mindset: develop, test, improve, repeat.
Right now, we are in the final stages of internal validation. Two of our school cars are already running the latest prototypes, facing the same punishment our students dish out during gravel and tarmac training days. This isn’t lab testing — it’s real-world abuse, the kind that only a rally stage can deliver.
Before we lock in the final spec, we’ll move into the ultimate proving ground: competition. Selected, highly experienced crews will run our pre-production tripmeters in real rally conditions, pushing them under the pressures of time controls, unpredictable terrain, and split-second decision-making.
Only once these units have passed the most unforgiving test environment in motorsport will we launch them to market. At that point, the tripmeters — developed with the know-how, discipline, and stage-proven expertise of Vittorio Caneva Rally School — will be ready for everyone. From seasoned professionals to passionate newcomers, they’ll have access to a tool that blends accuracy, durability, and the relentless spirit of improvement that defines rallying itself.
