Vittorio Caneva Rally School’s Advanced Rally Course is the all-practical Course for active Drivers that allows for refinement work in note writing, road interpretation and, of course driving technique thanks also to the use of telemetry.
The Advanced Rally Course
The Advanced Course is a rally course designed allow experienced rally drivers to improve their asphalt driving technique through an all-practical course. Learn from the know-how developed over more than 35 years of the School thanks to the contributions of World Rally Champions who have passed through our roads.
This is a Rally Course that includes 2 hours of practice in the morning and 2 hours of practice in the afternoon on mountain roads employing one of our forklifts equipped with telemetry. With the instructor always on board you get to work in detail on key topics to develop safe and at the same time more effective driving.
What this Rally Course includes:
- 2 hours of practice (morning) + 2 hours of practice (afternoon)
- Course type: private course
- Car: Clio RS197 recce car
- Where: Luino (VA – Italy)
- When: upon request, Monday through Friday
- Options: 1 or 2 days, for 1 or 2 riders

Where every detail is explored in depth
Know the correct driving technique for tackling each asphalt special stage. Get into “asphalt mode” like the many WRC drivers who employ these days both to learn proper driving technique and to train for important upcoming rallies. This course, in the same manner, has been attended by Champions such as Suninen, Meeke, Ostberg, Lindholm, Pajari, Sesks, Evans, Verstappen and many others.
The Advanced Rally Course includes:
2 Hours Road Practice in the Morning + 2 Hours in the Afternoon
The practice, which involves the use of our specially prepared vehicle with Telemetry includes in-depth study of the following topics:
- Road reading: quickly recognize and adapt to the route, use of vision
- Trajectory definition: identifying and follow the optimal line, main points of the racing line, road use, apex point and center of the corner, relationship of the note to the trajectory, delayed and anticipated trajectory, compound corners, long corners, hairpins
- Note writing and application: adopting an effective methodology for note writing
- Correct driving technique: driving position, where to look, braking, insertion point and steering wheel, load transfer and fundamental concept of grip, coasting, use of throttle

Participation requirements
In order to participate in this course, the following requirements must be met:
- be at least 18 years old
- Be in possession of a valid B driver’s license
- Be physically able to drive for 4 hours a day or more
- having correctly completed the booking process
