In 1989, in Italy, no valid structure existed to give support to those that wanted to get involved in road motor-racing.
The debuttante was left to his own, and basically forced to learn everything while in the field, but often paying the high prices of errors and inexperience.
Having recognized this void in the market, Vittorio Caneva decided to make available his experience and that of various collegues, creating the Vittorio Caneva RALLY SCHOOL, that has grown to be a true reference point for all aspiring pilots and co-pilots.
Vittorio has also brought in other world famous pilots in role of instructor, including the Swede Soren Nilsson to teach Scandinavian driving techniques, (especially braking with the left foot), unequaled on terrain with mimimal traction and adherance.
The courses offered by Caneva were such a success that the school became permanent.
Numerous attempts have been made over the years to copy the Vittorio Caneva RALLY SCHOOL, but being the founding school and a continuous innovator has allowed it to retain it’s unique identity: also thanks to Vittorio Caneva’s experience, passion and complete knowlegde of this racing sport.
